Returning to Haileybury: Alumni Lead the Way at Spring School

This spring, Haileybury was delighted to welcome back two familiar faces, Arthur Bishop-Laggett (Bartle Frere, 2020) and James Dalgleish (Thomason, 2025) who returned to assist with the running of Spring School. Both Old Haileyburians continue to generously volunteer their time and expertise to support Haileybury programmes, including Summer School 2025 and Spring School 2026.

For Arthur, returning to Haileybury has been a deeply rewarding experience.

“Returning to Haileybury in the Spring School has been a wonderful experience as I got the rare opportunity to recreate some of the magic that I felt as a student attending Haileybury. Utilising our exceptional facilities combined with our enthusiastic staff has allowed us to create unforgettable experiences for the students that they will cherish for many years.”

Arthur spoke passionately about how his time helping at Spring School has renewed his appreciation for Haileybury’s unique energy and sense of purpose.

“Working at Haileybury has been brilliant and makes me grateful for my time I spent there as a student. It is my hope that I can continue to be a part of what makes Haileybury so attractive by showcasing what we have to offer to prospective students on the Summer Course.”

James also really enjoyed his time at Spring School.

Both alumni played an invaluable role in helping young people make the most of the opportunities Haileybury provides — from engaging lessons and activities to the friendships formed along the way.

Their generosity, energy and commitment to Haileybury are truly inspiring. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Arthur and James for continuing to contribute so positively and for helping make Spring School an unforgettable experience.
