Robert Okunnu represents RCPCH at a Buckingham Palace Garden Party

Congratulations to Robert Okunnu ChartPR FCIPR FCMI (Batten, 1996) who recently represented the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) at a Buckingham Palace Garden Party.
Robert commented:

“It was such an honour to represent the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) at a Buckingham Palace Garden Party on Friday 8 May. Since leaving RCPCH at the end of last year, this was doubly special as I had the privilege of reuniting with two youth trustees from RCPCH’s Board of Trustees to complete our delegation.

With thousands of guests – including many from charities – it was enjoyable to visit the gardens, chat over afternoon tea, and of course, see some members of the royal family led at this event by the Prince and Princess of Wales. On a personal note, I saw attending this Garden Party as a special end of my nearly seven wonderful years at the RCPCH – first as a director overseeing policy, membership and communications and then subsequently leading the organisation as Chief Executive Officer. The afternoon at the Palace was an unforgettable experience.”

A wonderful recognition of Robert’s contribution and a fitting way to celebrate his time with the RCPCH.
