A Fantastic Evening of Networking

We were pleased to welcome a group of mentors back to the School, to participate in our first Pupil Networking Evening. The event gave pupils valuable hints and tips on how to network effectively, helping them prepare for the world of work.

Thirteen alumni joined a group of current Fifths and Lower Sixth pupils for a speed networking session, where small groups rotated between mentors from a range of industries to hear about their career pathways, advice and top tips on effective networking.

Pupils really valued the breadth of sectors represented and the opportunity to discover careers they might not previously have considered. They were also warmly commended by mentors for their professional approach, having come well prepared with thoughtful and relevant questions.

We are extremely grateful to the following alumni mentors, for giving their time sharing their experience and helping pupils to build such important skills for their future:

  • Fabian Bindley (Lawrence, 2021)
