This Christmas, Janet Gough (Albans & Colvin, 1979) was part of the team releasing a special set of stamps.
Working closely with Royal Mail, Janet — the former Director of Cathedrals and Church Buildings for the Church of England and an authority on historic churches — helped identify significant cathedrals from across the four UK nations. Five were featured on the 2024 Christmas stamps to celebrate the birth of Christ. Her aim was to encourage as many people as possible to visit the United Kingdom’s 100 or so cathedrals, which are especially meaningful at Christmas.
She has since been featured on the Church Times website where they posted an interview and unveiling of the new designs.
